As a self-proclaimed skeptic, I never put stock in ghost stories or paranormal experiences. That was until I had a series of inexplicable and unsettling dreams that left me questioning everything.

It started when my girlfriend moved into a newly built home for her co-op.

I would often visit and sleep over, but this wasn't your typical old haunted house – it was a modern dwelling on previously empty land. Yet, the dreams began.

The first dream was vivid and disturbing. I found myself in a glowing version of my girlfriend's room. The usual furniture was there, but everything was bathed in an otherworldly light. As I lay in bed with my girlfriend, I felt an intense wind force its way into my body, leaving me paralyzed.

I could sense my eyes closed, my breathing rapid, and a strange sensation in my arm. I tried to call out to my girlfriend, but when I woke, I realized I had been having some kind of panic attack, with her hand on my arm trying to soothe me.

Weeks passed, and then another dream struck. This time, I was driving down a country road to visit my girlfriend. The scenery was peaceful, with farms and beautiful trees lining the road.

Suddenly, my body froze, and I felt myself floating, as if being pulled towards the car ceiling. I woke with a start, but without the panic of the previous dream.

The dreams continued, each with a similar sense of unease and supernatural elements. In the next, I was at work when I felt a grab on my spine, and a woman from my workplace – ironically called a "witch" by a coworker – appeared behind me with an evil smile.

My body froze, and I floated upwards before waking.

The final dream was the most disorienting. I woke in my girlfriend's bed, reached for my phone, but despite feeling it in my hand, I couldn't bring it to my face.

Confused and trying to rouse my girlfriend, I finally woke to find everything normal.

I've had no dreams like this before or since my girlfriend moved away. Could these have been some form of ghostly encounter invading my dreams?

I'm still seeking answers and thought I'd share my bizarre experiences. Has anyone else encountered something similar?
