In the year 2021, Squid Game fever swept the entire planet. PERMISSION TO DANCE ON STAGE - LA featured V dressed as a guard from the video game Squid Game.





1.        2. Parasite

Choi Woo Shik, a close friend of V's who is also an actor, appeared in the 2019 film Parasite. During a live broadcast, V made a personal recommendation for the film.



Parasite follows a poor family who gradually infiltrates and takes over the home of a wealthy family by gaining employment in the household. Parasite won big at the 92nd Academy Awards, taking home the awards for “Best Picture,” “Best Director,” “Best Original Screenplay,” and “Best International Feature Film.”



3. Red Notice

  Using Instagram, V uploaded a clip from the film Red Notice, in which Ryan Reynolds, Dwayne Johnson, and Gal Gadot appear as the main characters.





This action-comedy from 2021 features an FBI agent who teams up with an art thief in order to apprehend a dangerous criminal.


4. About Time

V, like many of his bandmates, combines elements from his favorite films, novels, and other media into his music. The proposal sequence from this 2013 British romantic comedy-drama was a source of inspiration for V's song "Winter Bear," which was released in 2013.

5.  Itaewon Class

Sweet Night, a song by V, is featured on the soundtrack of Itaewon Class, a K-Drama starring his buddy, actor Park Seo Joon, that will premiere in 2020.
